Taking clear, high-resolution 3D images of your mouth and skull has been made possible with the advent of 3D dental technology. Being able to convert these images to a 360° digital model makes diagnosis and treatment more accurate and predictable, all while reducing your exposure.
Intraoral scanners are a large leap up from intraoral cameras. They too help us obtain a 3D model of your mouth and teeth that helps us create precise treatment plans. Intraoral scanning even allows us to digitally remove brackets in order to create final retention appliances, reducing the number of appointments needed, making it easier for you to live your life outside the orthodontic office.
Chamblee Orthodontics offers the option of the Propel VPro5, a device used to speed up orthodontic treatment times and reduce discomfort that patients use at home for just five minutes each day. The VPro5 can be used in conjunction with either traditional braces or Invisalign®, using high-frequency vibrations to help fit braces or aligners to the teeth as optimally as possible. The VPro5 helps decrease feelings of soreness on moving teeth and can cut orthodontic treatment duration by as much as half.
